  1. Evening sir! Welcome to the world of bmw…. It’s addictive! we are a friendly bunch here so ask away and don’t be shy on the pictures of the lovely car!
  2. Can you open the boot to reach the battery? use this terminal to put power to the car so you can open the boot and jump it from the battery itself if I remember correctly
  3. Hi. if it’s the same as this one… the red capped terminal is the positive and the bolt circled is the negative/chassis/ground…. This is the one you need!
  4. It’s linked to the vanos sensor. but firstly, check the oil cap is the correct one and there should be an insert in it.
  5. Hi Meggy. You can install one to the x6 if you have a compatable head unit. If not, you can get aftermarket stereo systems which have camera inputs I’m not familiar with the 6 series, but it may be possible that the wiring look is already installed and just needs a camera fitting and enabled. stu
  6. Hello Michelle. someone is selling a pair on eBay… https://ebay.us/m/YoEja0 is this what you are looking for? Stu
  7. Welcome Paul. is it all the doors stay locked at the same time or a random one? my Porsche’s rear right started doing it and it turned out to be the door actuator. if it’s all at the same time every time, I would look at the relays as it’s giving a signal to all doors. Random 1 door will be getting the signal but failing to actuate
  8. Hi Jo. Try this? 1. Switch off the ignition 2. Unclip the sleeve of the selector lever 3. Pull the sleeve up over the selector level until the sleeve is inside out 4. Using the screwdriver from the tool kit, press the red lever while moving the selector lever to the desired position with the button pressed.
  9. Hi Paul, sorry. Got your name wrong! 😑 welcome and sorry to hear of the issues. surely there are new Indy’s in Leeds with software. if you can get across to hull, there is a good garage called bm tech near the deep. they are good and all ex bmw technicians. im based between hull and York.
  10. Yeahhhhhh….. that’s bust! good effort! hopefully the new setup will see you through the flood !
  11. Welcome Jack. im from Yorkshire too. where about? what’s the story ? stu
  12. Putting the boxes in the garage and visiting Wetherspoons? …. Then using it as an excuse to miss the family event? …. No? Just me then! Haha
  13. Sounds like the sensor is giving false information… not showing a fault, just wrong data. change the sensors as well as the airbags. have a good week mate.. that will keep you busy!
  14. …. Mine’s just passed the MOT! 😂😂😂
