  1. ….. ah! How old is the car? I see newer models have the battery located under the wiper scuttle panel. It will still have the jumping / charging points under the bonnet
  2. Sorry Stuart, Happy new year. The battery is located on the boot on the 1 series I believe. There are charging points under the bonnet. A positive is usually under the red flap and a negative looks like a large bolt head. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
  3. Depending on engine, it could be a failing glow plug? Or maf leak? A misfire will cause a random jump and affect fuel consumption. Do you notice any fuel smell when the juddering happens?
  4. There is a fuse board in the glove box? Or the stereo will use a switched positive.
  5. Morning! As Dave suggested, use a piggy back fuse from the fuse board. I used to do this regular with VW campers for stereos as they don’t have switched power as standard. What is it you need to power?
  6. Welcome James. Enjoy the new motor. We are a knowledgeable and friendly bunch here, so feel free to ask questions and make some friends. Where in the world are you? Stu.
  7. I agree with greydog. Check the battery first. It could be an immobiliser has stopped the starter, it could be a failed starter, it could be a key coding problem… Check the basics first with the battery
  8. Hi, it could be a wheel bearing or the wheel arch lining could have come off.. a suspension or broken spring issue would make a banging noise when the steering wheel is moved. Does it only make the noise when the car is moving?
  9. …. My bad…. It was a Sindy , not Barbie….
  10. Hello! This is a Temu eagle rv… Seriously, it’s a kit car of some sort. The rear lights look like the e10 2002 and possibly the front lights and grille. It looks like a 2002 had an affair with a Barbie caravan and this is the illegitimate offspring
  11. I have a 5 speed manual petrol x5… mines not even listed! Haha
  12. Oooooh that’s nice!
  13. Hi Malcom. have you broken a spring?
  14. Hi Jock. Is the car 4 wheel drive? 4x4 centre bearing? that would be my first guess. does it make the noise when stationary?
  15. I just got one for my Porsche cayenne… it needs a plastic sleeve replacing on rhe gear stick…. if it’s like my bmw recall, they will give it a good valet for free too! 😂 also, make sure you get the recall done and documented as I have heard of insurance companies not paying if there are recalls which you have not had done.
