  1. I accidentally discovered how to start my car without the key inserted (Push button starter). If i put the key in Start the engine like normal then switch off the engine remove the key put it in my pocket then start the engine again every time it works. You can do this until you lock the doors then it seems to arm whatever the key unarms. It also stops working after the engine has been off for a period of time. Anyone know anything about this? Andy

    Just Got It :)

Solved the golf club problem. There is space for the clubs above the liner at the back of the boot so I bought a couple of straps and fed them through the beam at the top of the boot and strapped them there. Sorted :)

If I put the trolley in just before the back seats withe wheels in behind against the seats lying flat then lay the golf bag on top of the trolley tge clubs sit just high enough to clear the trim :)

    Parrot

The 2 I have seen both have screens the basic one is like the mp3 players that look like pen drives. It has a text scroller. The other option is the one that has a 2.5" screen small I know but it displays all track info and is easier for scrolling through contacts. Both connect to iPod via hard wire and calls connect via Bluetooth. Meaning you could have an iPod permanently hooked up and just have yer phone on auto bluetooth connect thingy.

    Parrot

Lol. Yeah the aux in is ok but it's a bit awkward in its placement. I was thinking have the iPod in the glove box the screen on the dash above where the vent is on the rhs of the steering wheel so it's in line of sight (almost) and tje controls I'm unsure about. Maybe on the door armrest (but where) maybe on the centre console just behind the gear lever. Any thoughts?

    E90 Speakers

What best to replace them with? I would prefer off the shelf jobs if possible. are they easy to fit? I will probably stick to replacing the rear ones only and put a rear bias on the sound. I would prefer not to amp as I don't want to run phono leads through the car and I want to keep the oe head unit as it ties in with a whole bunch of the functions of the car. Any helps appreciated Cheers Andy

    Diesel Vibrations

I'll bust arnolds chops about it they "serviced" it but if the belts due to get changed at 60k then it will be highlighted to them. Where can I get a full service schedule for my car?

    Diesel Vibrations

So that's the big black belt right that seems to stretch for miles around loads pulleys etc right on the front Of the block itself. (auxilliary belt) ok I'm gonna get that checked as it does not say it's been changed on the service book. It's at 64k it should have been done. I assume it's part of the service schedule? Where can I find all the info on servicing when things should be changed etc. In the ford a'll that was in the owners manual.

    Diesel Vibrations

was out in the car there seemed to not be doing the noise anywhere as noticeable now. ill take note over the next few days at whats going on when its happening. Im unsure about the belt thing it was mentioned that all BMWs are timing chains i cannot see a chain only a belt it is very possible that this is the belt to drive all the other gubbins like the water pump etc and that the timing chain is at the back somewhere i have had a look through the books and they mention nothing of the timing. How often if at all should it be changed. How often should the belt i can see be changed.

    Diesel Vibrations

I'll get a look dabsy and let u know. Also I had a look inside the engine bay yesterday at the front of the engine was a very long belt I assume this is therefore not the timing belt? I work in engineering and I have never taken the time to look or work on an engine lol

    Diesel Vibrations

Lol :) no it only happens when in gear.....I think so marbles might be the answer. I do have a set of safety goggles in my door pocket and an iPod in my wee cubbyhole in the armrest. I'm hoping that's it but fear the ribbing I'll get when I come back err tell u that's what's makin the noise :)

  19. Hi, I have been driving about and enjoying driving about :) went a drive today got a couple of photos of the vehicle too. What i have noticed is that at around 1000-1250rmp in any gear i get a loud vibration buzzing noise. Im unsure if its engine noise or cockpit noise although cockpit noise sounds more likely. If the cars under warranty ill be getting it sorted. Could it just be me not driving it right this is my first diesel car and im pretty sure BMW would not be designing a car that makes noises other than broom broom. Also can anyone tell me if its belt or chain for the timing if its belt when should it be changed? F**k me when you get it into the torque range its pretty quick in any gear i have found that i dont need to drop a gear to overtake or go up hills :)

    Carbon Cockpit

Do all the panels come off and go back on easy? i thought the silver in mine looks a bit loud against the black interior i thought the black carbon vinyl wrap will look nicer.

    **alarm**

That makes sense kinda. I was reading through the manual today (sad I know but just got it) and it says if the alarm detects a break in power supply from the battery the alarm will sound. I assume the alarm must have a power storage system to allow that to happen.
  22. Yeah just under 1 petrol will be just over or on 1

Lol think I'll wait for a nicer day it's p*ss*ng down up here. First time I ever drove rwd car and it's raining. Well I thought it woulda been a big deal it wasn'talthough I wasn't misbehaving. Took me a while to sort out seating position and as it was raining the window wiper controls. For some reason they had me confused then I realised the intermittent control is a button at the end of the stalk.

    Just Got It :)

Just picked up my 320D From the shark. Had a bit of a smile goin on driving back home couldnt help it lol. Anyway they gave me two full key fobs and i found what looks like a blank in the glove box anyone know what this is for? An educated guess is that it is for the immobiliser if my key fobs die and i need to use the key inside the fob to start? Any help is appreciated Thanks Andy
