  1. Can't agree with you after changing a fuel filter on a Mercedes this week that had a fuel filter from 2003 and was breaking up inside .You couldn't even blow through it .
  2. Hi Didn't cut it open but there was nothing loose when you shook it .

Hi Guys .Couldn't believe it till i saw the old fuel filter .I'v got a 1996 2.8 E39 which i'v had for the last ten years .Still got only 90k miles I got a good mechanic friend of mine to do a full service on this car for me and although the car has been serviced over the last ten years by different mechanics and myself in between doing oil changes i was surprised to see that the car had the original fuel filter that was fitted to the car at manufacture .I have never have had any problems regarding the original filter ..Got to say i'm impressed that a fuel filter could last for 17 years .They certainly made them to last .
  4. Hi Guys I'm new to this site .I'm driving a 96 e39 2.8 .Just wondered which air filter upgrade you would recommend instead of the original BMW one .Second Question is do they really make a difference .Cheers Lester
