Hi....welcome to the Club
I believe it is a throttle actuator or manifold valves resetting when the engine is switched off.
It could be worthwhile to have the manifold checked as this could get noisier over time if excessively worn
lol....same here with Northern Soul 🙂
Absolutely, Touring Cars from the 60's and 70's are superb to watch racing as they don't seem to care about the rarity of value of their machines 🙂
More of a Group C Le Mans fan myself
There were some absolutely superb BMWs in the arena....especially some of the older more obscure models you just don't see around nowadays.
Good to see your Z4 there (next to my Z3), shame I didn't get to meet you in person
See you there if you're going....don't forget to purchase entry tickets at reduced rate beforehand and also print out the dashboard club identification label 🙂
I would try selling it on eBay for a 3 day auction and list the starting price at around £1700 to let it bid up from there.
The Z3's are starting to fetch good money now especially one as good condition as yours
Thanks for the lead....fitted a new one with a secondhand roof I bought last year.
Was a hell of a job fitting the screen though, would not want to do that again.
Also, you have to buy the zipper to fit it (£9 on eBay for a couple of them)
