  4. Agreed if the car hasn’t been driven for a while, clean the cap up, and go give the car a 40 minute drive, Then take the cap off, if it mayo again the news isn’t good,, if it isn’t it may just be a bit of damp drawn into the oil
  5. I have no idea what the silly woman is thinking, The Falklands want to be British, as they have been since 1833. Sexist comment, but see this is what happens when you give a woman some power,
  6. Im sure thats clutch? good to hear its running! Dabys wait until i tell the story of the blown head gasket on the E30 in Milan and the drive home..... one for the pub meet!

  11. Good god no! financially(and I work for a cars insurer in this area) it would be written off without a problem, however………I am attached to the old girl, she has done a lot with me, and has put up with a lot from me!.so sentimentally it had to be fix. The 740 however, the injectors don’t fire. Stupid car!

  16. Yes that sounds about right, On a ramp it wont take long at all! Bearings can fail in many ways, rare they just let go however pot holes/curbs can have that effect, Also as you as you get used to the car, you will be more aware of what`s going with the car
  17. OK OK sore subject for many BMW drivers, but as mines off the road, so I can gloat my mode of transport is a 3.5 V8 Range Rover, and what a time of year to have it! I live on a HILL, and the Range Rover-Diff locks on just flew up it without even losing traction! A few photos from my face book.
  18. Being honest, they really are not that bad at all, they are designed to “get you home”, much easier than chains, less damaged caused. However I am a BMW lover and I admit defeat in the snow, Big RWD cars are a challenge in the snow and do struggle with the hills! However this year has proved the highways agency has got it right, once your on the main roads, no problems. Try living on a hill!
