  1. I know how we all like photos of others bad luck, So here is my offering, replacement bonnet on, and it will be going into paint on the 20th of February. The roof doesn’t look that bad(thanks to the reflection) however when you see it from different angles you can see just how bad it is, comments welcome! So it is now parked next to the 740 until the end of the month
  2. Scum bags, and yes sadly would have been to order. Was it parked out of site? Or on the road etc? Either way a fantastic car and I fear one of the last “great” BMW to be made with all this carbon emission rubbish!
  3. Morning!, a few peeps would be more than happy with a BMW coupe as there first car, When it comes to rust DO NOT TAKE THE CHEAP OPTION, if it is just sanded down and skim with filler then in 6 months time it will be bubbling again, So it will need rubbing down to shiney metal, treating and coating properly and the panel painted, Honestly in the mid-long run(and re sale) it will be worth it. Air bag light, search the forums it’s a common fault Clutch smell? Without sounding insulting, you are not riding the clutch/downing a lot of town work? Are you sure its clutch not brakes? The smell of clutch is normally alongside slipping/juddering
  4. Ok so let me get , If I attend this meet, I will receive free food, a supply of beer, and a empty car park…………….. I feel a “watch this!” moment may be happening!
  5. I love this, although i am dissapointed you have stopped working because of a little bit of snow.if only you had gloves!
  6. This could be a number of things, jack the car up and spin the wheels see if you can identify which side it is.
  7. Next oil change, thicker oil!
  8. Leave it off over night, although the code readers can be brought for about 40 quid, amd plug into your lap top
  9. It is a shame as its great fun to drive.but it has been talked about for a while.thanks co2 targets!
  10. Yes tony have them removed,it is a massive let down on the engine.why oh why bmw didnt remove them for so long no one knows
  11. It is nice to know im not the only person in the world that works no matter what the weather. Now its cold enough to wear many layers, and a jacket and a hat, by why not gloves?
  12. Hid are those cheap super bright head light bulbs.
  13. Does it have aftermarket HID?
  14. Yes im bored at work
  15. Welcome along
  16. Any update on flyer, there are 13 pre 2000 BMW in the car park outside, and I have no way of sharing the love
  17. I am sure they are E60 m5 reps, although im sure Snypa-D will correct me, really without taking a wheel off and finding out what off set is stamped into it, we are playing a guessing game
  18. Nick last time i got one for my E39 it was £70 of quid
  19. It will either be. A dodgy sensor OR Low oil pressure You want option one to be the fault!
  20. Welcome Chris Get a “help” thread up in the 3 series forum, I am sure everyone will help, watch out for GAV(he drives a Diesel), let us know what fuse is going POP and what you are doing when it happens(other leccys which are on at the time?) at a guess it will either be you head light fuse, or the heater rear window fuse? Ian
  21. Im ignoring the Green comment. Bonnet arrived last night, good few scratches etc on it however it will all have to be rubbed back so it doesn’t matter, More important I CAN SAVE THE ROOF SKIN WHOOP WHOOP. Got the head lining out last night and just thought, elbow it and see what happens. And 80% of it has popped out, now all I need to do is weld the studs on so I can slide hammer the more major dents out, and paint. Scrap??? I don’t do that! Hopefully next week I will be done, as I cannot afford the fuel bill on the Range Rover!!
  22. Bigger Photo will help, but yes 5 series wheels are the wrong off set!
  23. Once again Dabsy talks sense, did you know most Quick fit now just suck the oil out the dispstick tube?? Personally there is a sump plug for a reason, and as the engine gets older more and more rubbish builds up in the sump. Oil and filter from you local motor factor will be about 50 quid, plus a tenner for the 17 mm spanner and the big old spanner for the oil filter job done. Then all I do with my used oil is chuck it in the heating oil tank for the house!. Do it yourself, use decent oil , Decent oil saves your engine!
  24. Fantastic new toy! Welcome
