  1. Very nice indeed, I do love the E36 shape, and at the moment they are total bargins,
  2. Your are correct, I must do a disclaimer here. This was conducted on my privately own peace of road, which the road traffic act does not apply. And even if it did, I would just ignore it and get on with my life
  3. If you want to do this, Buy a crashed or rotten e36 318 IS as a donor(much easier, and cheaper as you know all the components needed work) With regards the LPG, Legally the certificate was issue to the vehicle, not the engine so if you do change the engine then it would need to be set up to run increased/decreased required fuel, However there is no legally requirement for it to be re tested, and to be fair you will only be un doing the low pressure rubber hoses not the high pressure lines, so quite straight forward. Is your current system a single point or multi point? If single point this maybe a good time to change the front end to multi point, it is a HUGE improvement on the single point system. All in all I do have to say……I wouldn’t bother, the performance gains are not really worth the hassle
  4. welcome to the forum, E60 M5 a fantastic car,and what a sound track from under the bonnet.
  5. wait until the snow, when the car gets struck trying to drive over a mole hill, then it will be your BMW again
  6. they were great fun, excellent car at the time, shame from footwells and archs rotted quicker than a apple left in sunlight

  8. Pmsl brilliant,i wouldnt admit to this
  9. Just sling another box in,70 quid for a box and a couple hours labour job done!
  10. As the titled says? The e30 nearly 10 years! E39 7 years roughly The e36 cabby 2 yes E38 740 6 months Can anyone beat my ten years?
  11. Fantastic looking car, makes a change from just another m Tec bumpered e36
  12. What a waste, although the bumpers would look fantastic painted purple.........and fitted to mine
  13. Mileage never puts me off a car or attracts me,brand new french poo have faulty bonnet catches! Minor faults just a weekend work
  14. Wow not going to be an easy one to find, Does the clunking sound like metal on metal? It`s well worth putting the car onto axle stands then go around all the joins with a crow bar, the slightest play can make the strangest noise. Is it coming from the front or back of the car, if it’s the middle it will be a center bearing!
  15. When was the fuel filter last changed?
  16. 16 years old, I brought a E30 320, and I still have it ! although it is now a toy
  17. Quite happy when i saw this sight last friday night, OK OK you Diesel boys may see it alot, but for a mega miles E39 Petrol, that aint bad(shortly afer this photo i got bored of saving money and booted it)
  18. Ready for my Rant, Take a seat lady and gents, On the I.O.M if the car was registered new on the IOM car, then it does not require an MOT, EVER! However if you have an accident then the car will be inspected, as a general rule the cars tend to be in excellent condition. However there are some right death traps about. If the car is imported it will go through the same test which is being introduced into in the UK this year, once it passes it never needs another MOT. My e39 has the Air bag light on and it has done for the last 5 years. I have kept it UK reg as it has a private plate on it(sad I know), however I think in June this will prompt me to put it on Manx plates. Guess I will have to fix the airbag light now! I don’t really think this is a daft set of rules, the 24 month MOT however it stupid some people have no idea how to look after cars!
  19. All done, paid my bill to the club. So April is the next meet?
  20. Welcome
  21. Welcome Mike, the fixings you speak of would be a dealer job(or ebay!), last time I brought some it was a matter of pence not pounds for them
  22. Fear not, I can do beer, wine and champagne. I like to say I am flexible to my surroundings. Now to work out how to pay this BMW owners club! So I guess BMW Owners Club meets are in……Pubs?
  23. This does indeed sound like a pressure sensor issue, I had the pleasure of one failing in a 3 series, steering came very heavy and it almost felt like the iginition had been turned off! Sadly though there was no set of circamstances which made this fault occur, unless of course it was at that moment where I had just built faith back up in the little 3 then i would cause trouble
  24. Grand old age of 25!
