Hey Guys First day of a week long holiday from work so I thought I'd give the beemer a bit of TLC its been screaming out for! Took me long enough to do but the results speak for themselves!
if the coolant has been changed / thermostat / thermostat housing im guessing sensor failure. Forgive my ignorance but is there another sensor along the way you have changed?
welcome to the forum, mine makes a similar kind of noise.... ran solidly for 12 months now. My bet is wearing on a pump somewhere.... I'll find out when it fails lol
Wow what a transformation! looks so much much better clean! lol Love the stripes / wheels they suit really well although I previously didn't think that style of wheel would suit the mini they look awesome! really not much for the wipacs but they're a very marmite addition lol great work. My GF used to have the cooper S and that was the most fun little go cart to drive such a good laugh. She used to go mad when I came back from a run to the shops and her runflats were almost bald haha. Loved that little thing but had to get rid for a more fuel efficient car as she works quite a distance from home and a diesel was needed. this is the beast
hmmm from the earlier posts it does sound like the gearbox park sensor or a power fault somewhere down the line If the car does NOT turn over or anything when you turn the key then its nothing serious down the line. I'm guessing all the usual lights come up on the dash and the radio starts when you turn the key? If it is the parking sensor it won't show a fult when you diagnose it...because it is classed as user error if the car is out of park upon turnover and as far as i know it has no error code. I would check the battery terminals, give them a good wiggle to check for play or dodgy connections (take them off and check for battery fuzz too) after a while some batteries get fuzz under the terminals and don't connect properly extreme example below.... Other than that my money is on park gearbox sensor hope that helps
please correct me if i'm wrong but I think that the normal auto's have park, neutral, revers + go gears.... no tiptronic so that could possibally be the SMG box but not 100%
I've never seen a problem like that before very confusing could be catching on something take a pic and post it when you find out I'd be interested into what caused this
Hey Guys After a week of moving house (nightmare of a job) lol I'm back online ^_^ Virgin Media internet connection up and running so I'll be back online a little more often ^_^ ....Just for nerdy bragging rights lol
