Well the 320 is all sorted now.... feeling alot lighter in the wallet area... £156 dep for insurance, £80 mot and mini service, £118 tax and £73 to fill her up..... avg 42.2 mpg on the way home 36miles part motorway and part A road...

Well after some searching I've found the best deal i can for my insurance... Halifax quoting £770 FC with 3yrs NCB not bad considering i pay £1100 for a Bravo HGT... The insurance will be paid tomorrow, tax bought on sat and then thats me officially a BMW Owner\Driver.... i cant wait...!!! Bravo sold - chap picking up on Sunday

The 320i SE will only be on the road 31st get the MOT, TAX and Insurance alll in one day so will be very strapped for cash... if there is a meet up north or even midlands way i'll defo come to one of them....

Smashing, just driving a few meters would light the ABS up again if there was still a problem so if you no lighty no faulty... i had the same issue removing the front drivers..... once there stuck there well and truly stuck no option but to smash them out.... maybe i should of started on the rears... thanks for the update though steve...

Hi, Well i tried and i failed, i got the same result... i have checked the com port 1 settings and they are all set to default 9600 8 n 1. There is no details with the software to suggest that the settings should be any different... so i give up i'll relist this kit and try sell it on......... to someone with an E38, E46 ect...

Welcome to the site Peter, would i be right in assuming your an ex Fiat owner with a username with "punto" in it.... only ask as i was until three week ago... just sitting in the BMW makes me smile i say sitting as i cant drive it yet still need an MOT lol.....

I particually liked the Bettle that flipped throwing the chap out the drivers door, i was somewhat shocked to see a convertable flying round with at least three people in it...they would of been dead had the driver not mangaed to keep hold of the car....

Thanks Ian, i will have to give it another go.... and take some pics of the results.... maybe reinstall the software... would you advise installing the software whilst the hardware is connected to the laptop and the Car with ignition on (by on i mean all lights indicated on dask).

Ok im going to assume what i have bought from Ebay is not going to work for me, so i will try to send it back and have a look at buying the correct Kit.... I dont suppose anyone would know a direct link to a site where i can buy diagnostics software for my 1994 E36... i have tried "Carsoft" on Ebay but am not spending £££'s.

No need for info on Carsoft.... just read a some details on what it is, sounds like a very good piece of software...

Hi Pal, i would hold off buying the diag software, i have the same issue as you and i have also got the 1994 320i, i bought the diag software from ebay.... see my other thread... http://www.bmwowners...stics-software/ i cant get it to work... so not sure it is compatible with my ecu.... waiting on confirmation from Ian and what software version he has... i bought the 1.3.6 software and scanner... So far i have replaced both front sensors and still have the issue....... when Dabsy says clean the fins in inside of disc... there doesn't seem to be any... i have had the disc off completely and the ABS sensor actually goes into a totally enclosed housing and i can only guess that you have to take the hub and wheel bearing off to get at that...
