change the battery in your key and try again, easy enough to do, £4 for the battery from a store. had same issue with mine a while back, changed the battery in teh key, re-programmed it to the locks and it sorted it. nice cheap fix if it works, if not, £60 for a new car battery

Hey guys, i have been to alot of car shows and track events lately and have noticed the insane use of ITB's on engines. Now i have had an ITB car in teh past but they were on before i bought the car. My question to you all is... HOW can i make ITB's for my E46 328i. M52Tub28 if you want to know. I want to know: what parts i will need any tips that could help any fuel rail suggestions intake sizes pleniumsetc etc. I am building my old girl for a turbo ITB setup, i have all my internals ready for the build but i just need the advice on how to make my ITB's and how to get around the computer (i beleave my throttle is FBW anyway, but i know its also tandem to the ICV.) and obviously, the DISA would need to be removed and how to close the gate on that. all help is appreciated cheers all :)

ask for colour cards of each shade. take them to your car and choose the one that matches, Titan Silver is a bugger for it. i am a panel beater by trade and 1 colour is never just 1... some have even got up to 15 varients, some probably more that i am yet to find. My car, Cosmos Schwartz has 11 variants, from normal, cleaner, darker, redder, greener, coarser, lighter, darker and redder, darker and greener, lighter and redder, lighter and greener all on my R-M Scheme.

When i was about 14 or 15 i fell in love with bmws. their looks, their sound and their presence made me feel all warm n fuzzy xD. when i was 17 i bought my 1.3 Fiesta Mk5. Old rattler but fun in the back lanes around here. not so much on the bypasses. a friend of mine had my car then, i spent alot of my days dreaming of owning it, then when i was 20, he put it up for sale.... i snapped his hand off.. threw the money at him n took the keys, BEST DECISION EVER!!! i love my Cosmos Schwarts E46 328i AcS. her looks her feel to drive and her passion for pinning me in my seat. Even though she hasnt been without problems costing me a fair few quid over the last 3 years, i wouldnt dream of parting with her. when i am behind that wheel, the engine humming infront of me, exhausts popping behind me and every passenger i have ever had in it getting excited and filled with adrenaline. it makes me feel alive... my 3 series is ME, without a doubt. Whats more awsome, my missus loves it, and has said never to sell her, even if she needs repairs and we cant afford them, we will just have her untill we can. long live BlackBetty

parking sensor issue i had with mine, turned out that one of the sensors was full of water and so knackered. replaced them all n it worked fine.... untill i replaced my dash and forgot to plug something in.. but i cant really be bothered to strip my dash out again xD

with anything turbo it is advised to run at idle for a minute or two to allow the turbo to spool down at its own pace without the oil feed just getting shut off then the engine is cut, this will help you save turbo seals and ensure your turbo has a longer and happier life. Alot of people will buy turbo timers, these keep the engine running for a short time when you shut off the ignition to allow spool down. its just to prevent unnecessary wear and tare basically.

BMW E46, Hand brake is poo anyway, 2... WHY THE HELL DO YOU WANT TO DO HAND BRAKE TURNS!!! you will break it. Its rear wheel drive, if you are that way inclined, use the power and the REAR WHEEL DRIVE!!.

OK, so for a while ive had a knocking noise coming from the rear of my E46 328i, went through all the normal procedures, replaced top mounts, trail arms + bushing etc etc etc, even went as far to almost get in some new drive shafts.... turns out the rear sub-frame has pulled 2 of its anchors out of the floor. Apparently according to my mechanic its a common failure on a E46, Anyone else got more info on it? Just forked out the shed load of cash required to repair should have her back in a few days, just want to know if anyone else knows of this failure or if its just my hard driving xD cheers guys, Steve.

Hi all, i have a BMW 328i AC Schnitzer, (validated with ACS befor you ask :P) in the last week ive had a few problems. First it wouldnt start. Battery Recharge fixed that lol. However, during the charging process something else went wrong. I had the battery out of the car during charge, after re-fitting it starting her shutting her off then locking her a few problems arrised. First, the lock beeper and hazard flasher stopped working, thats fixed it self now tho :S but now, when i unlock the car all 4 windows drop and refuse to go back up for at least 1 minute sometimes longer. i have tried re-progamming them 4 times now but still an issue. Can someone possible shed a light on the situation please? Only looking for possibilities so i can check them out. I am going to run it through diog tomorrow at work. but any other possibilities would be appreciated. Regards Steve B

just a note. NEVER use WD40 in your ICV, throttle bodies or anything that needs just air, WD40 is an OIL, and can cause serious problems with an engine, use brake cleaner or throttlebody / carb cleaner, it evaporates leaving no residue and costs about the same if not less that a can of WD. just a word of advice, check your ICV, MAF, and lift your engine cover to check the pipe that runs over the top hasnt collapsed... or take it back to the service station to rectify it.

Hi jim, welcome to the forums, need any assistance let us know. good group of guys here, will help you out if we can, P.S, a well maintained bmw is you friend... remember that :P

lol bit of a dodgy one that, if they fixed it they should have reset the light. if it is still on take it to a mechanic to get it reset or try it yourself. i will look on my computer at work on how to reset the light manually, their is a way, i just cant remember off the top of my head.

The 36 AC is just a normal 323 with their aero kit i beleave

several possible faults.1: the 316 i bleave has an airpipe on top of the engine under the cover, ensure thats not collapsed, can cause hunting/ refusal to start 2: Try giving the ICV (idle controll valve) a good clean, plenty of vids on youtube to tell ya how to do it, very easy job. 3: Fuel Pump may be giving up the ghost. 4: If you clean the ICV, check all the induction boots for cracks, this can cause loss in vaccume and cause alot of problems, some very severe. 5: When was it last serviced? may be worth getting a major service done. IE Fuel filter, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Cabin filter, Oil etc etc 6: If none of the above, Coulda have an O2 Sensor gone or on the way out. not all that knowlageable of the 16 but hope it helps. bout all i can think of, if i think of any more possibilities, all post up. Also welcome to the forums :)
