Dizgav and Melinamotor, I will be there from 11 am, looking forward to seeing you. I think around 30 M3 / CSL are going to turn up during the day. And Bartlett have got their hands on an i8 for the day - so that will be interesting!

Hello all, here is an update whats happening at this open day - This company will be there: http://www.silentwitness.co.uk/ Apparently an ‘in-car’ camera system gives a 15% discount on vehicle insurance with most providers. Bartlett Automotive is now a supplier.

Lee, 20 M3s have confirmed they are coming so far, I think it will be more once we've got past Gaydon. It will be a nice excuse to take a long drive in your beautiful car and then you can pay for the fuel you use in savings on oil and brake pads!!!

Hello all, this open day just gets better - they have now taken delivery of the corner weighting geometry machine, from Demon Tweeks, so will be giving demos. And have been promised they can have a new M3 or M4 from Elms for the day.

Calling all M3 and CSL owners - I've been to my indy garage today and they are having an open day on Sunday 7th September. It sounds like its going to be a really good day. Damian who owns Bartlett Automotive is an M3 expert and he wants his business to have more M3 and CSL clients. Recently the famous Gareth from Elms in Cambridge moved over to Bartletts too. SO they are having an M Power day and inviting the likes of us to come over and meet them and see the facilities, the new corner weighting geometry machine they're buying and there will be a photographer and mobile detailer there too and hopefully a guy with dashboard cams. As well as the discounts in the advert, we will get vouchers against oil services and MoTs etc and there will be a catering van to feed us for free! I'm hoping to be there all day, Damian is hoping to fill up 70 parking spaces with M Cars! See you there?

Geoff, "enjoy" doesn't even begin to cover how I feel about this car! I love the M3 in white, it looks fabulous. I think there's a metallic or an opalescent white, but most of them are Alpine? What is yours?

Hello all, I've been a member for a couple of years but I've been spending an awful lot of time on M3cutters lately. Mine is a 2001 vert. Its Imola Red with Imola Red Nappa, so far I've only found 3 others with this colour combo in the UK.

Aha - then I must endeavour to find out which of my fellow residents owns it.

IT'S NOT HERE TODAY! Torment. However, I think it's that STI 340r, on account of it has that metal strip above the number plate on the back. Is that a good car? Or is it all show and no action???

I don't think it is Dave, its much sexier than that, and its got the big air intake on the bonnet. I think its this http://www.autoblog.com/photos/subaru-wrx-sti-s206/#photo-4638864/ I'll have a look tomoz, see what else is written on its #####!

Al, here's a pic of that Subaru we were talking about. I still don't know what the hell it is. Its got WRX on the back, so I Googled that, and found myself on a Subaru forum, on a thread entitled, "What does WRX stand for?" - this is one of the answers posted: Wongdoo Ringwha Xfoodung Its Japanese, it translates roughly to ' Not as fast as you thought. '

Jac Barnett posted a topic in The Owners Club General Discussions
I’ve collected my car today after it’s been 12 days at the workshop and I am so happy with it! Work done:- Brake calipers rebuilt and resprayed with black polymer. New brake pads all round, new disks on the front. Alloys refurbished and painted metallic silver with new BMW decals and M3 badges and new valve caps fitted. Caps fitted over the rusty wheel nuts. Short radio aerial. Rear trailing arm bushes replaced. Since I had the car, (one year), I have had some excellent help and I want to give those companies a name check; All repairs and maintenance has been by Bartletts Automotive in Huntingdon, Cambs. Damian at Bartletts is someone you can completely trust to give you honest advice and he is also an M3 specialist. He coordinated the dismantling and despatch of my calipers and alloys and then put the car back together and MOT’d it for me, while I went off to Scotland for a holiday! http://www.bartlett-auto.com/ Bigg Red did the calipers for me. Excellent service, great price, beautiful job. And they turned them round quicker than the usual time it takes, because I asked them if they could fit in with the schedule I had at Bartletts. Speak to John, helpful and bullshit free service. www.biggred.co.uk The paintwork was repaired after I suffered stone chip damage to four panels when I drove over a newly resurfaced road. The work was done a few months ago now, but I wanted to give credit to Mark at Get Smart in St Neots, Cambs because not only did they do a perfect job of it, but they corrected one or two things on the car that weren’t part of the original quote, which took them quite a lot of time, but they didn’t charge me for them. http://www.getsmartexpress.co.uk/contact.htm Wheel before: Wheel after- 3 replies
