For the Disc yours will be CCC, CiC versions the maps were downloaded just check which version Professional High etc in realoem then Google your needs. Take a look at Satnav Upgrades they have been around for years With the disc remember a disc labelled 2023/24 the maps will be older not bang up to date like digital maps Dave

Morning Boz Welcome to the Forum Bluetooth: First check www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box and it will bring up your model. Then search the sections for which Telematics unit is in your car and note the part number and where it is in the car. Then take a look if it's missing it answers a lot of your questions (why it was taken out who knows) Then search with the part number to find a replacement fitting is plug and play. Then in settings on the screen you should find bluetooth set it to search and the phone should be found then connect. Angel Eyes: Back to realoem for information on bulbs Good Hunting Dave P.S. Just a thought if someone has changed the screen you should be able to find the correct one or even a Complete Android update straight forward to fit and gives far more than the OEM unit plus still allowing you to switch between the two with the rotary controller

Morning Chris Welcome to the Forum Tasty motor Enjoy The Monitor I believe is just that so may have been changed earlier in it's life. You could check a BMW Vin Decoder that will give the build sheet so you know what was fitted at build/order Then use www.realoem.com to get correct part numbers if your looking to replace/upgrade the screen Dave

E61 520D 2006 Drive Control System and other errors

My E53 has the same Battery, registering just regulates charging so I would check voltage at the under bonnet charging points Should be 12v+ (min) ignition on engine off 14v+ engine running. Quick thought is it registered as AGM which I believe yours will be? Is the IBS lead in the boot in good condition Good Hunting hope it's a simple fix Dave -
Morning Korso Welcome to the Forum I fear I am going to be no help here I had a similar issue with Spotify Android Auto connects fine but with me it was Spotify. App Logo came up and then screen asked me to Login. So clicked on login and tried it wouldn't let me message said Account in use? I tried everything I could think of including Deleting the App and reloading it, changing passwords Nothing. My head unit is an Android unit (not BMW) I even tried downloading it direct to the car. Still couldn't get past the login For a couple of months I didn't use it then mid January I tried it and it worked and as far as I know still is. Good Luck if you find a solution let us know Dave

Well Done Rory My E53 still doesn't but I am used to it now 😂 -
Hi Steve I wouldn't think so. the low pressure pump in the tank should push fuel through to the high pressure pump which should be self bleeding Dave

Morning Jack Not sure why you posted in 2 sections Sadly the advice is the same First you say it's not turning over ? Is the starter motor turning the engine over but not starting ? Second When you look through the oil cap you wouldn't see the Timing chain as they are at the rear of your engine Third You say you had a replacement engine fitted 14 months ago what condition was it in/where did it come from Your engine has an upper and lower timing chain to change both is an engine out job so major work. If either chain is broken and the engine turned over damage will be caused to the cylinder head If you are not capable of doing it yourself then you need the help of a good Garage Dave

Swapping from RF to normal tyres is common, personally I always found the Pirellis wear quickly loads of grip but need changing more often I have Hankooks on both my X5's As the Adblue contributes to emission control I am not sure if that would give issues at MOT time or not. As for the ECU upgrade ask how many they have done on your engine maybe? My brother inlaw is on his 5th 5 series estate all have been 3ltr diesels all have been chipped from after their 1st service. all cars have been serviced by BMW all his cars are run to around 150k (he has a business in Holland) the current one showed just under 400bhp on a rolling road all have been reliable mechanically Good Luck it is about enjoying your car by personalising it Dave

When looking at BMW 1.4.0 any Greyed out modules mean no communication so need investigation The ABS module can be removed and often repaired I have used ECU Testing in Nottingham a few times they are normally fast turnaround as well worth talking to them. Dave

Morning Kevin Welcome to the Forum Not seen this on a petrol model yet seen quite a few diesel though, as your car is only 4 years old unless it has covered more miles than the star ship Enterprise a blocked DPF/Cat is unlikely. A diagnostic session should find the culprit quickly, my guess would be a sensor gone wrong. If you don't have your own diagnostics a good garage with a BMW capable system can do it. Or if you have an extended Warranty with BMW use them The Differential Pressure sensor sits on top of the DPF/Cat so should be fairly easy to reach Hope this helps Dave

Tyres are an emotive subject as they are all to often chosen by price yet they are the only thing between us and the road. Steering, braking and comfort in all weathers a lot more than a round black thing. What is on the car now are you happy with them ? You are going to notice the extra power so get your wallet ready for extra visits to the pumps 🤣 Enjoy Dave
-
Morning Chris Good plan, check www.realoem.com for part numbers that will fit your model They aren't wired together (or shouldn't be) but they will be linked through the Footwell Control Module (FCM) or may be the Junction Box Module (realoem again) Dave

Morning Rory Welcome to the Forum My X5 4.6is had the same issue in 2003 (my door is Hormann and rolling code) I eventually talked to a neighbour who works for BMW (not a dealership) he told me BMW actuators can't handle rolling codes I would have to change the actual door motor ??? Needless to say I kept a Fob in the car and still do with my current E70 Dave -
