  1. As an ex Subaru boy (Impreza) you probably liked the Intake and exhaust noise 🤣 You must be getting old 😅 noticing how noisy things are 🤣 Dave
  2. Morning Sven Welcome to the Forum Obvious one is the AC fully charged ? Next at the bottom of the fan motor is the Regulator did you replace that also also I believe their were two types Denso and Valeo. I remember reading that the Valeo units also have two temp sensors and two actuators. Good luck tracking down the fault Dave
  3. Morning Tim That is why I would test the Relays and sensors also a BMW specific Diagnostic program will record faults that are not currently present, ones that are held in the Control units memory they can still influence things and will need clearing Good Luck Dave
  4. May be a previous owner used someone's tights and stuck a piece over the lens to get the effect 🤣 Dave
  5. Morning Steven My wife's car is a Subaru Outback 3.0 with a full Perrin engine upgrade (400+ Hp at the wheels) it's as quiet as a mouse, no induction noise. Induction set up is standard with just high flow filters. So I would ask if your cars induction has been modified in anyway ? If it is standard then I think you have a leak, quite a big one if you can hear it sucking. Dave
  6. Hi Tim Welcome to the Forum I would check the starter relay and fuel pump relay but to be sure I would start with a diagnostic scan as for the ! on your Dash what colour is it (Yellow or Red) and is the any other symbol illuminated with it ? Dave
  7. Hi Paul Welcome to the Forum A quick check on realoem (BMW Parts List) shows Part Number 63257164978 for your Third brake light try googling the part number. Either your BMW Dealer should help (expensive) but Google or the Auction web sites (Ebay Amazon) should help or contact one of the BMW Specialist Breakers like Quarry Motors Most important keep smiling Dave
  8. Whoop Whoop We know what your doing today 😅 Hope it goes smoothly Dave
  9. Morning SLS Welcome to the Forum If you aren't aware check www.realoem.com Classic section for part numbers then try BMW UK they have a Classic's section but they wont be cheap £££ Or a good Automotive trimmer may be able to help Dave
  10. Try PM ing the posters here if they are up for it, my personal route would be the Rogue Traders program they love stuff like this Dave
  11. Morning Asim Before chucking more hard earned at it check carefully for any Inlet leaks all hoses and gaskets also Test the O2 sensors you can get Maf cleaners but be careful. Dave
  12. Does it look like this one ?
  13. Hi Steven Take a photo and post it see if we can help Dave
  14. Morning John Welcome to the Forum You need a BMW capable Diagnostic reader most readers will only see the basic Engine management. Your fault could be Fuel Delivery, Fuel rail pressure, Fuel pump relay, Turbo Actuator the list of possible causes goes on Dave
  15. Morning Steven I take it these are Crankcase ventilation hoses ? Have you looked at www.realoem.com put the last 7 digits of your Vin into the search box it should call up your model (Z3 should be in the Classic section) then search the Engine, Fuel sections for what you need. Once you find the hose on the exploded drawings get the part number and you should then get the correct part. Hope this helps Dave
  16. Morning Harry Welcome to the Forum Initially the remote start feature was fitted as an option on selected models (G20 was one of them) from around 2014/2015 as far as I am aware it wasn't until 2019/2020 models that it became a standard feature. You obviously need the remote start option plus the remote you can check if your BMW has a remote start. On your touchscreen, you should have an option that reads “iDrive.” From there, all you have to do is scroll over to ‘remote start engine’ and see if it is available or not. If so, then yes, you can enjoy a remote start from your key fob or directly from the app. If you don't have the option I have read about Aftermarket systems that can be fitted but have never seen one in action. Hope this helps Dave
  17. Morning Steven As far as I am aware you need to change the complete assembly as I haven't heard or read of anyone servicing them. You could try companies like Cartronix or ECU Testing (Google should help find them) both have good Reputations As far as I know the butterfly is closed until energised, then open enough to allow idle settings Good Luck Dave
  18. Morning Wayne Welcome to the Forum Great motor ENJOY Dave
  19. Already answered Auri no need for multiple posts For the i8 I think your only option will be a late version of ISTA Dave
  20. Morning Auri Have you tried eManuals online Or get a copy of ISTA/INPA it should have workshop information wiring diagrams etc as part of the diagnostic program (well mine has) Dave
  21. Yay, don't you just love a free fix Dave
  22. Morning Aaron Water circulating short answer, Yes The Auxiliary water pump circulates water around the top of the engine until the thermostat is open fully I don't know why you had the DPF messed with, a vigilant MOT tester will fail the car if its spotted. It is also quite probably the reason for your fan running. The fan is triggered when the DPF is in Regeneration so if some of the DPF sensors are reading regen conditions then that is your problem Dave
  23. Morning Neil Welcome to the Forum That doesn't sound good !! It could be a number of things the biggest and most concerning is Timing chain If you can't investigate yourself you need the help of a Mechanic or Garage Dave
