Hi all. I have recently purchased a e38 - 728i (2001) which I am loving had 330d before which was also cool, since I have owned the car I have had no sound and the head unit (4:3 tape unit) is completely unresponsive no buttons work at all but has picture of menu, so need help please ! I have tried the following Updated nav software (mk3 nav unit I think) Checked fuses and voltage which all seem ok volt is 12-13v Removed radio module and replaced after few hrs and radio did work for a few minutes and steering wheel control worked also then it cuts out and all is lost again no other radio buttons worked apart from the streering wheel ones I think the system has been played with as the cd changer is not contacted and i cannot see anyway of connecting it, it has a lot of kit in the boot, including a tm system I am a new member and I am sure I will be helping others as I do have a good knowlage on BMWs but not on the audio system, I am in your hands!
