  1. by wrapping your exhaust manifold you will keep more heat out of the engine bay also creating better gas flow so the engine will run and perform better meaning more bhp
  2. i reckon you could get more power by wrapping you manifold in exhaust bandage, its been done on motorbikes before easy or not to do just ideas.
  3. ye but while your driving about your fuel moves about causing air in you tank meaning there will be air in your fuel all the time just heard there is an inline filter that takes all air out of the fuel going into your engine as your using it which should mean cleaner and better engine performance or am i just silly like the missis says ?
  4. does someone know about the filters you can put in your fuel line to take out the air bubbles in our fuel, ive also heard there is one to also take out the silicone in petrol.
  5. i havnt got a cat but ill put some down for the !Removed! when the missis gets in lol
  6. ive heard loads of talk about it being better and not,but ive never heard any concrete research,so i tried a little experiment myself.if you put some shell v power in a saucer and some supermarket fuel in a saucer let it evaporate then feel each one with your finger you will feel the difference, dont know what it means but the v power feels better to me.
  7. Never put tap water in your cooling system, because of the high alloy amount bmw use,a good source of water to use would be from a condenser tumble drier,if you use tap water it will pit the inside of your engine, lots will know this but some might not.
  8. sounds likely to be wishbone bushes had both wishbones and bushes replaced at a garage on mine cost £209 but would check paper work to see what jobs have been done .as jack said.
  9. yes it started to knock but ill tell ye,the bushes where moving like an earthquake, had them done today now need the tracking done seems always one more thing.
  10. took my front wheel off friday to copper grease my pads, squalling doing my nut in,while doing the job felt my discs moving alot, looked at my wishbones bushes where moving all over the place,so i brought 2 new delphi ones with all 3 bushes pressed in for £129 didnt fancy trying to do them myself so my local garage going to do them thursday for £80 thought these where good prices ?
  11. cheers again thanks for the link
  12. cheers good old wd40 again ill try it later it worked on my air bag plug
  13. my passenger side seat not moving at all the drivers side is doing every move apart from backward and forward is this a common thing and would anybody have a solution cheers .
  14. just asking what means would you use to clean a cone air filter heard different ideas thought it would be good to through the question onto the forum for your ideas.
  15. i know exactly what you mean, unless i had a racing car the difference it would make i would not notice nor would anybody else,so now all im going to do is enlarge the diameter of the cold air feed pipes just to try and get more air to the engine. That in my mind is probably the only good thing i can do to the car.apart from the remap ive got planned.
  16. ive got two cold air intakes one from the grill and one from the bumper,im going to try and make an heat shield the weekend and fit it later,to see how it works.
  17. i have a cone air filter fitted with no heat shield, surly this will make my engine run at lower power meaning lower performance,as i gather all it will be doing is sucking in hot air from the engine bay,so would it be better to fit standard air box.
