  4. Welcome to the club, nice motor the 328 and in a rare colour aswell
  5. Same here drove loads of different cars but bmw got it mastered with the way Their cars drive
  6. Its always a nice feeling getting the car back with mot passed, the conti or michelin are the best tyres in my opinion for the m3's and good price with fiiting aswell. As far as i know on catalytic converters if you got decat pipes on then it would show a higher reading on emmision tester it could be their machine not calibrated correctly or summat. Try evolve automotive they do some great tuning on these beasts
  7. Hi, welcome to the club. that is a nice machine you got there n best colour. i have always wanted1 :P

  11. Thanks mate, the car has been a joy to own and it did take a while to find a decent 1 with the manual gearbox, the newOwner is gonna get a bargan
  12. Hi all, The time has come to sell my 530i sport in titan silver, it has the rare manual gearbox, mileage is 145k, comes with black leather interior, electric windows front & rear, remote central locking with total closure, cruise control, radio cd with changer in boot, multi function steering, parking sensors front & rear, climate control with air con, upgraded angel eye bulbs, Factory privacy tints. It comes with full service history all main dealer apart from last two at specialists. 8months mot and new owner will have to tax 3 former keepers recent work in last 12 months as follows Genuine clutch with flywheel Rear anti roll bar links Front bearing New radiator Alternator Heater resistor (nice warm cabin now) Battery Now for the bad bits, every car has them. The bumper has small crack on both sides and there is a noise coming from the power steering so could do with a new pump, the wheels are genuine m sport 17inch staggered with wider rears which could do with a refurb. The car drives nice and smooth with plenty of power its quicker than the automatic model and better on fuel economy. I would keep the car, it did take me a while to find this spec being a 52 reg with the manual gearbox and main thing having a full service history, unlike others. The engine is a bullet proof m54 3 litre so no problems its always had castrol oil. Loss of job forces sale, if i dont get the asking price i will just keep my car, just go out and try find another these are getting rare, with the work done they fetch up to £3500. Any questions please call 07522650579 anytime price £1850 ono
  13. Welcome aboard. good choice the 330ci gotta be a sport model. amazing 3litre m54 engine!
  14. Or the moni whats gonna be spent on bodykits and all other mods why not just get the beasty 130i sport
  15. You got a nice car there and these cars dont need no widebody conversions, my advise would be to get some facelift xenon lights or nice set of wheels, window tints, diffuser in carbon just nice lil touches make these motors stand out even more. best thing its the m sport to start with they great motors out of the box. let us know how you get on :P
  16. welcome to the club :P
  17. welcome aboard mate, nice move to owning such a geman piece of engineering. i have owned a 320d in the past n they are a mint motor for munching up miles for fun whilst economy is excellent. my advise too keep the machine runnin smooth is keep up with correct castrol oil n services at the right time according to dash display. some early models did suffer premature turbo failure mostly down to not letting the turbo wind down after long fast drive and late improper servicing but yours is a low mileage with history so a good start there. mine did eventually have a turbo replacement around 140,000miles with some breather pipes
  18. Welcome aboard, nice motor there
  19. Welcome aboard mate n many motoring smiles with the e39 best beemer ever! Nice beasty v8 engine! Enjoy
  20. Hi, you could easily replace the h7 headlight bulbs for some nice bright phillips or osram bulbs, try eurocar parts they Sometimes have deals going. The other option is to source some xenon headlamps from a bmw breaker or ebay these are easy to fit on the e39 as they are just plug and play with factory connection. Now if you do go for the xenon option then You can go to the darkest of roads n will really be impressed with the amount of nice clear light these throw out, they are Some of the best xenons i have seen and i have drove enough cars! Let us know how you get on mate
  21. dont know if i wanna sell or keep my 5

  22. The problem lies in the fact that all new cars have to undergo 'Type Approval', and part of this is getting the car through the 'Urban Driving Cycle' tests. Remote from European driving conditions as they are (the tests are based on a simulated trip around Los Angeles with the resulting noxious gases collected in a bag for testing), car manufacturers had no option but to comply. In order to meet the stringent requirements, engines are virtually detuned to pass the test. As a result the car never performs as well as its mechanically controlled counterpart, with hesitancy and flat spots thrown in for good measure. This leaves masses of room for a creative engineer to re-tune for vastly improved performance, and without infringing any emissions regulations.
  23. Welcome to the club. Thats a nice low mileage example you found, your gonna buzz off the rear wheel Beemers handling. Enjoy the ride
  24. Just take your time and find a nice low mileage with a good service record, its like mr beemer sayin if you find a Good1 you should have many miles of trouble free motoring. These engines are very reliable, a mate of mine sold a 335d sport with 150k on clock n it was still runnin mint you could not tell the car had done that much mileage but It just comes down to maintenance. Good luck finding a nice1 mate
  25. Hi, if your after increasing the power then check out DMS AUTOMOTIVE, they do a mint Job remapping engines
