  1. Gav the part making the noise is where the pen is pointing to. also is it easy to remove and replace.
  2. hi guys, i was wondering if anybody can help me. i have noise coming from around the inlet manifold, it would appear to be coming from a part that is bolted on to the manifold i do not know its name, it has two rubber pipes connected and the noise is coming from the round plastic bit. when i touch it the noise goes quieter when its warm its noisy. im thinking its something to do with the oil flow. many thanks.
  3. i was driving to work the other day when my drivers window fell down. after spending some time trying the fix it. i discovered that the plastic guides are broken. my problem started when i tried to put the window down it seem that it is coming out of the channels and pops the motor arms out of the plastics. i am at a loss as what the problem is. i will be looking at the channels to see if i can anything stick in there.
  4. thank you ill check that out.
  5. yeah. i'm thinking i will end up getting in an auto electrician in. however during this time of being well skint (the same as everybody), i will be trying to avoid that as long as possible. Denny
  6. my passenger door and boot lock on the fob. then the drivers door i have to unlock/lock with the key. i was wondering if this is a sticky lock mec or is a relay. im at a loss if someone has an idea could you help to throw some light on my issue. thank you
  7. the temp gauge and fuel gauge went mental the other day while i was driving. on further investigation i had lost break light as well. so being well impressed, i started looking to find the problem. which turned out to be all down to fuse 46. i was told it could be a number of things, and i would need to take the car to an auto electrictain (expensive). as i said i investigated and i think i fixed the problem. 1) i pulled the fuse (15 amp). 2) i put in a new fuse. which blown after about 10 seconds. 3) i put in an 20 amp fuse. at this point i was starting to think the circuit had short. 4) circuit worked fine. replaced with the right fuse (15 amp). i'm thinking that the original fuse looked old and the first replacement i put in was the same style and in the fuse box lid. the one i finally used to replace the blown one was a new one. so as said, although i have been told its a common problem, maybe old fuses is equally as common.
  8. i am a new comer. i have a bmw 316 compact. not really sure what to put.
