  1. Happy Birthday Pete007!

  2. Hi Shaun, Around £400, with a set of 235/55/18 bridgestones on with about 5-6mm still left. Pete.
  3. Well, i think so......... I'm with you on the 32's on an E38, they do look great. Hence the post.... Might just bang some tyres on the Alpinas and put them on the 'Bay' Think i'll fit 'em on the 750 and see what they look like........just for the hell of it and for some pics, of course.
  4. Hi Gav, I thought i was making the right decision with the 18" replica Alpinas, but i am now thinking of going with the genuine 32's......dilemma.....dilemma..... Actual 32's and Alpina pics below.... Help..Help...Help!!!
  5. Here we go, this should be a healthy debate.... Went to collect my 18 inch Alpinas yesterday and they are very nice, however........ There is also a set of staggered Style 32's which are also in great condition. So mentors, which will look best??? Originality with the 32's or the Alpina's? I cant afford both (yet) Also up for grabs is a mk4 Satnav with disc allowing postcode search, is it worth upgrading for £275.00?? All opinions please. Pete. BTW, thanks for the very warm welcome messages! :D
  6. Thanks All !! I'll put some pics up just as soon as i get time. See other post in 7er section regarding opinion on either style 32's or Alpinas. Pete
  7. Hi Jack, I had heard they might suffer from problems with the gearbox, if you tow. I know the L322 Rangey's did. Dealers (Sytners) said it didnt need anything extra fitting if i was going to tow. My caravan weighs 1750kgs, so its a good match for the 750iL, We'll see how it behaves on the road. Pete.
  8. Anybody had any experience towing with one of these? Just wondered if we might need any additional things fitted, fans, oil cooler maybe?? Detachable towbars seem reasonable enough. Any thoughts??? Pete.
  9. Hi Daz, Yep, its in for a service next week. Service docs say that its had a big service inc all 12 plugs, at 89k, but im having all fluids and filters changed inc gearbox fluid just to be safe. Believe it or not, its on 16's so new 18 Alpinas ordered today. I ll get some before and after pics in the next few days. Cheers Daz. Pete
  10. Cheers Dave...
  11. Cheers Martin...
  12. Thanks Phil,
  13. Hello all, Just signed up this morning and looking forward to lots of interesting reading. Well, after owning two 8 series, and also running a 530d tourer for the wife, i've succumbed to a (very nice) 2000 750iL. Drives spot on, with FSH and only 95,000 on the clock. I will be posting in other sections as i need advice on towing with it. Are they any good? Also, anything to look out for or check in these early stages? Thanks guys and gals... Pete.
  14. Welcome to the BMW Owners Club Pete007 :)
