Yeh this is true, probably the best way to get the most performance. Will you loose most of the induction noise though? Suppose it depends what your after really.

I'm interested just wanting to see if any of my mates want to come. What are the prices looking like for the club stand pass and ticket?

Rattling At Back Right And Wheel Arch Seems Low On One Side??
E36-Steve replied to DeanT's topic in BMW 3 Series Forum
I have the same problem/noise with mine, hoping that it's the same thing as i'm getting my coilovers at the end of the month :). -
Would it help at all just to run a cold air feed to the air filter? If doing this and getting a heat shield made up you should be onto a winner.

Hi again everyone, I have found the problem and thought I would post it here in case anyone else has suffered with the same issue. Turns out that because I changed the profile on the front two tyres quite alot it has thrown the traction control out. I needed lower profiles for when the car is lowered and the front tyres needed doing so I got 45's on the front and still running 65's on the rear. This is turns out is what is causing the problem. Yes this is a rookie mistake but at least I know what the problem is :).

Cheers Snypa-D, I'm pretty sure the ET on the Teledials is about 52ish. So the wheels will be give or take 10mm further from the wheel arch and closer to the suspention arm? If I get the adapter that are 15mm then this should all cancel out and fit nearly the same as the originals should it not? (Plus maybe around 5mm, so hopefully less tuck :)). Thanks again for your help.

You should go and take some pictures of the big pot holes along the routes you use on a regular basis. Send if off to the council and ask for their insurance company details. Tell them your claiming from them because it is there responsibility to keep the road surfaces to a certain condition.

Hi guy's, I'm having a problem with my 1998 318is atm. When I have traction control on the rev's rev up to around 5,000rpm and stay there all by themself, the only way I can stop it is to either nearly stall the car in 2nd or turn the traction control off. If I have traction off it doesn't do it at all. Does anyone know what might cause this problem? I have been told by someone that with these the traction control works by restricting the air using the butterfly in the throttle housing. I was going to just take this apart and clean it up as the car hadn't had a service for over a year before I brought her about two weeks ago. (Don't worry she has had a full overhaul since I brought her :)). Do you think this should fix the problem or does anyone else know what might be causing this? Thank you, Steve.

Don't you worry I will be Snypa-D :).

Cheers mate that is a great help. So as both the standard wheels and the teledials are the same J, all I need to do is check the ET of my wheel and compare it to the teledials to see how much closer the inside of the wheel will be and how close it will be to the wheel arch. Obv take into consideration the difference because of the adapters. Let me know if that looks wrong lol. Cheers again Snypa-D. Steve.

Hi all, I am new to this forum and a new proud BMW owner so thought I would post my first question :). I am looking at getting some new wheels for my car and have always had my heart set on some Porsche Teledials. I understand that I will have to get some 5x120 to 5x130 adaptors and from the posts I have read on here it seems quite important not to buy any cheap rubbish. I'm not to sure if the wheels will fit the arches without having to get them rolled which I do not want to do. My question is..... Does anyone know if these wheels fit because I'm not sure of what ET I need to be looking for also a bit of a newbie question but what is the centre bore size for my E36? The Teledial's I am looking at atm are 7j all round and ET52.3 Thanks, Steve.

Hi all, So after going through several cars I have finally managed to get my hands on my first BMW. I have just brought myself a Navy Blue 1998 E36 318is. Thought I would sign up here as I have heard a lot of good things from some friends that are BMW enthusiast's. Basically just wanted to say hi to everyone. :). Steve
