E90 320D 2010 Immobiliser or Battery
Bimmer Owners' Club replied to Bimmer84's topic in BMW 3 Series Forum
Good diagnosis...the Wiggle Test as it was known as at Ford. Batteries are quite reasonably priced at Halfords, especially the Premium range (much better quality)- 9 replies

Bimmer Owners' Club replied to Ray from Southampton's topic in New Members Welcome
HI Ray...welcome to the club! Looks like a good car to start with and should be good fun modifying it into your preferred style. I reckon a decent set of secondhand late model alloys would really enhance the look Keep us posted with piccies of the improvements over time. Regards Trevor - Admin -
Hi Kelly...welcome to the club! It might be worth looking in the drivers handbook for the operation of the park sensors as it's unlikely they would have fitted them without activating them with the car. The phone button, however may be an option but again, worth looking in the handbook for pairing instructions.

Hi...and welcome to the club! Sounds like unstable voltage...check the battery state of charge and alternator output. Could be a replacement battery needed?

Hi Adam, welcome to the Forum! Small, economical runabout...I think that was the original sales pitch for the BMW 728i :-) Enjoy it...it looks superb! Regards, Trevor - Admin

Hi Dave, A K&N air filter is a great addition to any car and the benefits are there for years to come...as long as they are cleaned correctly (following manufacturers instructions) and more importantly...making sure that the sticker is placed on the air box area to indicate that there is a K&N in there otherwise some garages have been known to replace them during a service and disposing of it to replace it with a cheap paper one :-(

Juddering when holding on the brake
Bimmer Owners' Club replied to JA12's topic in BMW 3 Series Forum
Hi Jane...welcome to the Forum! It sounds like an idle fault if the revs have dropped down to a level where the transmission is juddering. If this is the case, then maybe try some cleaning additive for the engine (Halfords sell many different types) and a good run may cure it. If not, then a trip to a local BMW specialist for them to scan the engine control system to diagnose the fault. I would try the cleaner first though Regards. Trevor - Admin -

E90 320D 2010 Immobiliser or Battery
Bimmer Owners' Club replied to Bimmer84's topic in BMW 3 Series Forum
I would immediately suspect the battery as intermittently failing after being 6 years old and following cold nights but a heavy discharge test would confirm this.- 9 replies
