  1. I think you only get the button if you have front sensors too. You definitely have the rear sensors so they should be working. I believe on the 1 series the PDC unit is prone to water damage and may need to be replaced. Have you still got any warranty left on it if you've just bought it? I'd be inclined to let the dealer you bought it from fix it...
  2. Looks smart and decent spec! Have those tyres been stretched on the rear?
  3. Does the car have actual sensor on the bumper?
  4. Sounds like a good price etc... got a link?
  5. Haha that's the fun part now. Got any lined up to look at this weekend?
  6. Link? Also, don't forget to list in the club for sale section http://www.bimmerownersclub.com/forums/forum/28-buy-amp-sell-parts-amp-accessories/
  7. Looks like it includes everything you need!
  8. Yeah, an auto is especially good in traffic too! Saves constantly moving the clutch in and out for stop/start stuff. I'm sure you will love the new car. Make sure you post up first impressions when you get it
  9. Strange - they're usually the cheapest for me or will beat my price if I say I've head cheaper elsewhere. Let us know how you get on with "quote me happy"
  10. Looks smart. Don't see too many in blue. Any plans for her?
  11. Any decent quality product should do the job these days. I'm a fan of Meguiars stuff but just my personal preference. I see you picked the car up on Sunday how are you finding it?
  12. Always better to have rear USB IMO I hate having wires poking out of the dash and like to hide the ipod/usb stick etc away in the glovebox
  13. Wow that's frankly ridiculous. Most insurers couldn't car less if you change the car stereo. I know some companies even provide car stereo cover as standard. I'd look into changing insurers to be honest. If they're not going to let you change a stereo that's just downright stupid. Try Adrian flux (they sponsor the club - http://www.bimmerownersclub.com/insurance/). I use them and never had an issue
  14. Hi Harry, the paint looks really nice at the moment. I wouldn't worry too much. Modern red paints are far better than the red paints of old. You're probably thinking about pink vauxhall corsas and things like that but paint technology has come a long way since then! Just make sure you look after it and polish/wax it at least a couple of times a year to keep it in good shape and you should be fine
  15. Have you scanned it for fault codes? Could be many things unfortunately...
  16. Fair enough, a nice double din should look the part and provide you with plenty of features too. Thought about going for something with either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto depending on your phone?
  17. You're right it would be a massive debate lol There's no arguing with the straight line pace of a mapped 335d though!
  18. I would think that would be your best bet yes. You know how it though, you're always going to fall in love with the more powerful one
  19. That's crazy money. They definitely know how to charge when it comes to options lists. Makes some used models a bargain though!
  20. How do you know it is the air con that's causing it?
  21. Also, try plugging in a trailer board just to see if everything is working?
  22. I'd imagine that's probably what's causing the problem. Could be a lose connection/faulty relay for this. Would be interesting to know if it's a plug and play BMW kit or if someone has chopped and joined the connections on the rear lights. May be worth having a poke around back there just to see if there is anything obvious...
  23. Yep, a friend of mine had a V8 X5 for a while and I must say I was really impressed with it. Nice to have something a little more rare too!
  24. Do you have a tow bar and electrical connection fitted?
  25. Hi Martin, welcome! Glad you're enjoying your X5
