  1. Just a heads up guy`s n gals. My e46 Vert screen washer pump has packed up. Stealers want over £50.00 with vat. Looked on EBAY found a company called REDLINE....£5.15p. Let you know when it arrivesif all is ok! All the best Mick
  2. Hi Lairobell, I have mates in TV & they say you still cant beat the Go Pro.
  3. Hi Chaps, Started as a lovely sunny day! 330d in for mot...no worries me thinks as nowt wrong! So vert roof down enjoying driving around for the hell of it! A normally mundane trip was great in the vert to & from school....but hang on whats that squeek? Why is the steering juddering/Why is it pulling to the right..and errrr whats that burning smell?? Get home & left front wheel covered with pad dust! Hmmm sticky caliper. Phone goes....its the mot garage....she`s failed!...b@**@*ks. Brake pipes are toast £150 to sort. Back to the Vert read the forums on your experiences....new caliper? Take it to Bm INDY. He jacks car up & the wheel wont even turn! I think his 6 letter answer meant its poorly? Hmmm new caliper quickest fix tomorrow morning! So in the next week im gonna be £400 lighter lol but one has done 174000miles so cant complain the other with the roof down makes me 20 again so i dont care!!!!!! Off on the bike after verts fixed...now thats 35yrs old so i wonder about tomorrow.....maybe ill take the AA card just in case lol Regards Mick
  4. Hi mate, Ive just done this on my car. As they say "Its ready". Buy the changer & all the wiring is in there waiting all neatly wrapped up in a bundle with a ty rap holding it to the body(in a convertible). You will spot it easy & i installed mine in 10mins.
  5. As you need this fast just try the net. Some one may have put a downloadable version on there? I did this with an old Kawasaki once maybe it can help you? Good luck mate!
  6. Melissa you have a steep learning curve ahead & i hope your "into cars" to get through it! Girls usually hit the books more than us blokes..we never read instructions for flat pack ikea furniture as just an example...or the kettle..but we all get a little errrr An*l about specs on cars. I would say female customers will be the worst! If your a natural to suss people out then this one thing may help you more than outright knowledge! Turn the table`s on them as your the one with so many products to choose from. Blag it a little by running through specs with them. You learn as you search for them,They will come in with an idea of what they want but as Jeffthro..pre Merlot said.....What do they really NEED/WANT/LIKE about a car? Lust or Marriage? The one that makes no sense but "you gotta have it"(Mspec) or the one to go the distance with(diesel & cloth) lol. Discounts finance rates mpg tax brackets are things people look at first before leather & Harmon Kardon so learn your company rules as much as car spec. 1in ten maybe a pain but most will be excited like kids in a sweet shop looking at brand new cars. Our salesmen used to show lots of photo`s of the best & work down as people always want the top model but compromise on what they can afford. Usually nice wheels & metallic paint. Make it fun for them to choose from the spec goodies you can show them.Just hope you dont get the know it all straight away! Good luck & i hope it all goes well for you!
  7. Hope its parts we may get a discount???? haha Welcome Melissa!
  8. Cheers Jeffthro, I was just being lazy & a little err tipsy shall we say ....on the bright side my spelling was good haha! I will try this out in a bit. Also just seen your comments on F1 & yeah they dont sound as nice as the old cars but for me you will never beat the sound of the Flat / V12`s or the V10`s. Didnt think much of the V8`s either!
  9. I for one like to look at all the info fellow owners share on this site about their experiences with their particular BMW model. Now ive had a beer or 10 & maybe you can do this & im too peed up to notice it but...... It would be nice/lazy yes.....to be able to read then store all info relevant to your own model BM in your own section. How you go about saving threads at the moment i dont know but maybe it would stop hundreds of questions on the same topic? We all have content gallery etc so would it be possible to have a section where we could store all relevant & invaluable answers to our many questions.....i dont know what you want to call it but maybe "Save info" as then we wouldnt have to troll through all the blogs. Yes i did say im lazy! I cant be the only one who does not want to print off every useful blog of your own particular model? If we could nstore it in our own section surely this would help us all as one day that particular post may help us on our way & we would be able to find it so much quicker! Beer thoughts over........just found a bottle of JD! .....Happy days! + im on nights a couple of thousand miles away!
  10. so you`ve met the missis
  11. Went looking for an Audi. Got peed off with the junk that sellers said were mint! Hadnt looked at a Bm for years but heard the 330 was good. Any how...after seeing yet another horrible Audi interior we passed Sytners on the way home....thought sod it went for a look & there she was! Mint straight & with 12 months warranty. Didnt like the wheels(pain to clean) Didnt much like the colour(steel blue) but 1 mile(may have been 300yds lol) in it & it was mine. Had to have it! The engine sold it to me!

  13. Hi Matt, welcome! haha Geoff i dream of owning an M3 VERT!!!!! Sod the figures. One day i will get one. Got the roof down Dunday for 10mins. Wife thought i was mad but loved it & in those 10mins the 4 hour journey & 7 hours total to buy it were worth every minute. We were kids again & even drove round the block twice. Bloomin brilliant! Roll on summer!!
  14. Cheers chaps, Yeah checked it out & its last date of liability was 2001 so i guess its history. it was the most expensive car i`d ever bought at 8k. It was also the biggest nightmare costing me a fortune lol. The day i was sick & fed up of it i went to tradeit in & it even broke down on the dealer forecourt. AA came & fetched it. When fixed i took it straight to a garage & got rid of it! Went back to a GT5s Audi Coupe which i had for 10 wonderful years.Didnt buy another beemer for 17years! The 330d changed all that 6+ years ago.

  18. Thanks guy`s! Dont know about the wig sketch...me & super glue dont get on (have you watched American Pie?) The 330ci never ceases to amaze me how good it is on fuel for a 3litre. Awesome. Could be better if it was manual but the missis loves the auto so no prizes for who won! Really though 38mpg on the motorway nudging 40 at times....& down hill with the wind behind it 99.9 Ha!The diesel i bought 6+ years ago. My first Bmw since 1991 as that 325i was thee biggest let down ive ever owned. The330d crawling is showing 28mpg & 70MPH CAN BE 54MPG...!Removed! marvelous ! Audi`s since (GT5`s Quattro 100cc) the 325 but when looking to replace an A4 tdi the Beemer convinced me in less than 1 mile to buy it! She`s been fantastic. Cost me 200 quid in none service parts(consumables) in over 6years ! It will present me with a large bill soon but i cant complain when/if she does! All the best chaps
  19. I get the same thing with mine. 205/50/17 all round on a 330d se. All tyre web pages say it should have 225+ on it. I bought from a dealer so never questioned it & lets face it the tyres are cheaper lol
  20. Hi everyone Im Mick from the west mids & im lucky to own a 330ci Cab & 330d Touring. Joined up to learn as much as possible about these cars which the missis & i enjoy. The 330D has now covered 172000m on one exhaust & 1 clutch(though maybe not much more in the latter lol) & its been as good as gold really. The Cab is a new arrival. Cant wait for summer as never owned a Cab. Wind in the hair is only possible for the wife as mine cleared off a while back but who cares. We will be like 2 kids come summer which is what cars are all about. Getting out enjoying them!
