  6. Is a bit weird its taken that long to realise. Hopefully its a simple fix. How good is the battery? It could be its sensing that its not optimal and as you probably know, if everything isn't running perfectly the system wont work.

  10. It means Automatic Start/Stop System failure. Malfunction The automatic start/stop function no longer switches the engine off automatically. The indicator light lights up. You can continue your journey. Have the system checked.<

  12. I just used AT and searched local dealership websites within 25 miles of where I lived. Its down to a lot of luck at the end of the day.
  13. Good luck with the search. It took me months to find the right spec and mileage. I was looking for a car with less than 40k miles and the Steptronic Gearbox which made things harder.

  22. Welcome along Craig. I to am a weekend spanner warrior but unfortunately the BMW doesn't need much spannering. However the wife's french poo and the daughters friends cars all do.

  24. You can take it to any registered garage and as long as they use genuine parts it will not affect the warranty. Same for all makes of cars. I suspect this is the case because of the Office of Fair Trading Act.
