  1. You might want to try one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seat-Occupancy-Mat-Emulator-For-BMW-E39E61E65M3E46E60M3X5-Airbag-Sensor-Bypass-/231414220955?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Model%3AZ3&hash=item35e15cc89b

  5. You may need to inform your insurance company of the change. I have heard that some see this as a modification and will not pay out should you have a claim.
  6. It will cause some drag but the cold weather would be the biggest factor.
  7. Very nice and welcome
  8. Welcome along Jordan
  9. Wellcome to the club Stephen
  10. There are only a couple on eBay and this is the cheapest one. Not very cheap though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z3-COUPE-ROADSTER-SWITCH-HEATED-REAR-WINDOW-NEW-OEM-1999-2002-NEW-IN-BOX-/251604144633?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a94c691f9 You might want to try these people as well: http://www.cooper-bmw-parts.co.uk/
  11. Thanks Andrew. Its good to know as this is bound to come up for someone else at some point.
  12. You need a code reader on it otherwise we will only be guessing. I'm surprised the power has reduced as I have had an eml on due to the Nitrogen Oxide sensor and the car drove perfect. I had to clear the code several times but I found numerous amounts of fuel system cleaner and avoiding Asda petrol appears to have fixed it. Light hasn't come on for nearly a thousand miles now.
  13. Welcome along Simon
  14. Welcome along Ben. You sure have been busy on that.
  15. Cant it just reset based on the current date. My services are a bit out of sink so I just reset it as though it has just been serviced. Full service wasn't due till June so I had an interim and check over. Next year I will have the full service done as I only use it for long runs and will probably only do 7k miles in that time. I will reset it again after the service is done. E90 Service indicator Reset Step 1 Insert key into slot Step 2 Press start/stop button without depressing clutch/brake and wait for the service reminder to disappear. Step 3 Immediately after service reminder goes out, press and hold the odometer reset. After 3 secs a warning triangle will appear, keep the odo. button pressed and after another 2-3 secs the Oil can will appear. I f you hold it too long (10 secs in total) you will overshoot the runway and some German writing will appear giving the software level/ can bus etc. of the car. Go back to the beginning and start again. Step 4 You are now in the service menu, use the toggle switch on indicator stalk to scroll up/down through the various service items. Step 5 When you have the item you want to reset showing, press the BC button on end of indicator stalk. Reset should now appear in the display. Press in and hold the BC button for 2-3 secs and a clock will start whirling around and hey presto, its done Step 6 You can now either scroll up/down to select another item (as in step 4) or you can press the start/stop button to exit. A word of warning `tho if you don`t want to alter the date of next service, you`ll need to change the date in your car to the date when the last service was done. Otherwise the computer will automatically change the date to 2 yrs from todays date. (hope that makes sense)
  16. I've got one of these that I am really pleased with: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/items/?_nkw=c110+scanner&_sacat=&_ex_kw=&_mPrRngCbx=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_sop=&_fpos=&_fspt=1&_sadis=&LH_CAds=&clk_rvr_id=774564675372&satitle=c110+scanner&rmvSB=true

  18. Welcome to the forum mate.
  19. I had a Ford with a similar issue. I downloaded an update from a Ford website and uploaded it via the USB port. Shame you cant do the same with yours.
  20. Welcome to the club Dave from another Essex Boy (bit too old to be a boy these days).
  21. Mine does. Its a 4S though. I also have an armrest adaptor but you still need the Bluetooth to work on mine as it is only a link up to the roof aerial. I bought the adaptor used from eBay for £20. These were £179 new so have a look on eBay for a used one.
  22. Nice one Andrew. Just goes to show what these so called specialists really know.
  23. That could be one fault. The fueling issue could be causing the misfire.
  24. Just had a Google and the 140 code is caused by faulty thermostat or more specifically its electric control which fools the thermostat to lower engine temperature on high load. This doesn't cause any symptoms in regular driving and doesn't explain your rough running. If you want to get rid of that code you'll need a new thermostat. The 33 code is either one of the Camshaft Position Sensors or something to do with the Vanos (No idea what this is).
