The body looks really good in these pictures, and in reality it is pretty good, but there are a few age related bits and bobs here and there. Minor surface rust on one of the wheel arches, and rust along the bottom outside of the drivers door. Built in 1998, she is getting on a bit, so these things are only to be expected. 4 previous owners, I think, but she has been well looked after in her former years.© Mike Slater

This is the second E36 I have owned. It is pretty much factory standard, and hasn't been modified. I have owned her for about a year, and have had very little trouble with her. Recently she has been playing up a bit, becoming difficult to start. Engine will crank a good few times before she bursts into life. I suspect there are possible worn piston rings in one of the cylinders (126,000 miles) Haven't done a compression test yet, once the readings have been taken, then I can decide how to proceed further.© Mike Slater
