the car has is finally in a garage now ... they have had it since 9.30 and had no phone call so i rang them and apparently they are still trying to get into the bonnet... although im not sure how long they've been working on the car :wacko:

Hi guys, thanks for replying. There is no resistance on the lever so hoping the cable has come loose.. We tried one person on lever with another pushing bonnet.. Yes i think the E36 is abit of a pain and have my friend coming out tomorrow and think we need all the luck we can get :rolleyes: Thanks guys

Hi guys, i have a 1995 3 series bimmer , as i was doing a long distance driving yesterday i always checked the coolant levels and oil etc.. but as i went to pull the bonnet lever inside the car , there was nothing the ie the click and pull you get to lift the bonnet and now i cant open the bonnet to do checks.. ive looked on you tube and it seems you have to take alot of the front of the car apart to release the bonnet and in the video it says "good luck" and "very expensive to fix" .. please help a very deb in distress

Hi Guys, Thanks for replying.. Im taking my BMW to a gearbox specialist garage on Monday as they say it's not the gearbox leaking its more than likely to be the oil cooler that's leaking which is a common problem on a Bmw

Hi all, my 3 series bmw has an auto gearbox and as its sealed unit how do i know how much oil is in it? Ive been told it could be the o ring or transmission lines..

Hi , ive recently bought a bmw 3 series automatic and found that the gearbox has a leak but cannot find the dipstick for transmission fluid or to access top up fluid..
