Cheers mate defo sounds like a bearing on the back but I'm sure the front bushers were done for the mot it did have an advise for something on the front tho now I come to think of it it may be that.

Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on a couple of issues i've got with my 320d touring :unsure: 1st there's an intermittent drone from the back end but only happens really between 70-80 mph it's kind of a ummmmm ummmmmm sound but it's only when the wheels turn at a certain point as it's not constanly there, bearing perhaps :huh: ? 2nd I get a clunking/creaking noise from the front offside corner usually at low speed when braking and turning it sounds like somethings loose or rubber or bush has failed or could it be the caliper moving? sometimes it's quite bad and other times just a slight noise. Any help would be appreciated as I want to sort theses out a.s.a.p so I can start to really enjoy the car and also my kids are in it all the time so don't want to have any safety issues. Cheers :D

Decided to have a go at painting the chrome kidneys black and try and save myself a few quid so thought i'd do abit of a walk through to go with it: Step 1: Remove the kidneys there's about 6 clips that hold the chrome part to the black grille part and they just simply clip off and come away, just be careful as the clips are very flimsy and break quite easily. Step 2: Once you've removed the chrome rub them down with some very fine wet & dry to take the shine off otherwise the new plaint won't stick: Step 3: Paint any colour you like, (you can prime if you want but I was told not to bother by a car sprayer) I did 1 coat then allowed to dry, then 2nd coat allowed to dry then baked in the oven on a very low heat to harden the paint then a coat of clear laquer: Step 4: Re-fit: Before: After: This is a home attempt so will let you know if they stand up to everyday use.

I like yours mate that's the type I want eventually but any would do for now, cheers fella.

Hi guys just wondered if a front bumper from a facelift e46 will fit straight onto a pre-facelift? mines a 2001 pre and has the bumper with the rectangular fogs and basically I want to update it for a newer one to freshen the front end up so will one go straight on or would I have to start messing about adding brackets and stuff to get it to fit? I'be just ordered some 8500k halo's will get some pics up when fitted, might do a walk through if I get time aswell.

320d Touring. My door lock won't work with the key, rear screen won't open with the button on the wiper, knocking/creaking noise from front o/s corner sounds like breaks or worn busher but can't see anything, loud rattle/knock from underneath when accelerating hard sounds like prop shaft knocking, abit of turbo lag but probably needs a new air filter.

Do you want them for headlights or sidelights? HID's are the best for dipped headlights but are quite expensive but defo worth the money as for sidelights either halo rings which again are slightly dearer than just 501 bulbs or some canbus free 501's.

Mine has a split screen and the window opens with the key but the button on the wiper doesn't any ideas on this?

Just a quicky, is it ok to lower just the front of a car? I'm happy with the back but the front defo needs dropping abit so is it safe to do so or does it throw all the alignment out or something. Cheers:)

Going to get some halo rings and was wondering which ones? I want some easy to install that don't give any errors and are nice and white, I like the ones Luke has which ones were they mate? do you have a link? or anyone else have pics/links for them. Cheers :D

What year is it? There should be a button on the mirror adjuster switch to press which folds them in if its not there then it probably doesn't have the function.

Yes mate there is a little bit of vibration, how easy is it to check the connection?

It's only gone through the MOT a month ago wouldn't that get picked up?

I get a strange noise from underneath when I accelerate hard could this be a prop shaft issue? I've also got a intermittent drone from the back between 60/80 mph could this be a bearing? Soz to hijacked the thread.
