Hello, ...just joined the forum and wanted to say hello! In May/June this year bought my lovely E39 V8 from Regional Chairman of "The BMW Car Club of Great Britain": George Champ (East Anglia). Remarkable condition; only £150 worth on MOT work + 3 tyres. Drivers door mirror needs sorting and an Air Con re-gas (no cold air!). Small suspension knocking noise somewhere (?) that has nothing to do with MOT pass. Few scratches and 3 minute dings. Alloys on the verge of a refurb in the future too. Incidentally, the advertisement stated: "Here we have something a little bit special and different. BMW 535i, M/Sport 3.5 V8. The car is believed to be 1 of only 22 in Imola red in the UK. Being the M/Sport model it comes with M kick plates, Steering wheel, Suspension and side rubbing strips. It also benefits from some AC Schnitzer goodies, Type 3 split rims, roof spoiler, tear drop mirrors and side decals. These are believed to have been dealer fitted from new." To date I have not been able to valid this claim, so if anyone can shed any light on this rumour (or who/where this started?) I would appreciate your reply/input. John Herman sold this vehicle on behalf of George. Last known registered keeper: David Alan Tulloch. Any previous keeper history greatly appreciated e.g. names/addresses. If you are one of them - reading this now (?) I'd love to hear from you. Cheers! :) 'Sensitive' replies should be made via 'PM' only!
